Low emissivity glass
Nowadays buildings must satisfy a wide variety of requirements, in particular regarding thermal insulation. Conventional insulating glass wastes too much heating energy. This demands very special solutions when it comes to the glazing.
With the new highly selective Low-E coating iplus E, we have made use of our entire know-how to make a good product better. The combination of low heat-insulating values (Ug= 1.1 W/m²K; all Ug values according EN 673), a transmittance factor of 80 % and a solar energy gain (g-value) of 62 %, according to EN, convinces everybody. iplus E warm glass offers energy-efficient solutions for every job. In the 1980s the Ug value was around 3.0 W/m²K; today Interpane thermal insulating glass reaches Ug values as low as 0.5 to 1.4 W/m²K. It is possible with iplus, to plan expansive glass surfaces that take account not only of economic and ecological criteria but also of aesthetic criteria - without being guilty of wasting energy.
