Dichroic film laminates give architecture previously unimagined depth and completely new perspectives. To achieve this effect, special films with changing colours are combined with glass. The colours appear to change by themselves depending on the incident light and the viewing angle. These effects are caused by refraction within the film, which is less than half a millimetre thick, but consists of up to 200 different layers. Depending on the angle of view, the observer sees different, changing reflected colours, as beautiful as a rainbow. Prism effects occur with colour changes from blue to magenta and gold or from cyan to blue and magenta, for example. Through combinations with various glass types, an unlimited number of different appearances can be created.
