Modern coating technology guarantees highly selective solar control coatings with very low thermal transmittance (Ug) values. These high-tech products are mainly used in building designs with a lot of glazing.
The ipasol product range lets in an above-average amount of natural light while at the same time ensuring an unusually low solar energy transmittance (solar factor). The performance of these highly selective coatings is at the limit of the physically possible. With low exterior reflectivity, glass façades that are transparent in both directions become possible, enabling the development of building concepts that are "filled with life" and are energy-efficient. Alternatively, highly reflective ipasol versions or coloured glazing can be used to create architectural highlights, allowing almost any design concept to be realized.
In the ipasol range the coated solar control glass pane is generally 6 mm thick unless physical constraints require thicker glass. Using a thinner inner pane prevents the visual distortions associated with the insulating glass effect (bending).
Coating solutions adapted to every project
ipasol solar control coatings can be applied both to jumbo-sized and cut-sized panes. Interpane has a wealth of experience serving local and international projects, particularly in the production of coated cut sizes.
Cut sizes of laminated safety glass, fully tempered glass or thermally toughened glass can be produced with highly individual designs, such as screen printing, digital printing, edge working, drilling or cut-outs.
With all these technical characteristics, ipasol is also ideal for the extreme climatic conditions of tropical and sub-tropical regions.
