Thermal insulation - IPLUS

iplus 1.1

The new generation in low-E: impressive in both aesthetics and performance

iplus 1.1 is the latest development from AGC Interpane in the low-E sector. It excels both technically and with its ease of processing. The familiar low thermal transmittance (Ug) is complemented by an improvement in the light-technical properties. iplus 1.1 sets the standard for window and façade construction.

Properties

  • Thermal transmittance (Ug value) 1.1 W/(m²K)
  • High light transparency (80%) and optically very neutral
  • High solar factor (63%) to utilize solar energy gains
  • Ecological product – the coating is "cradle to cradle" certified

Float glass product range

  • Thickness of the coated panes: 4, 6 and 8 mm (further thicknesses available on request)
  • iplus 1.1 is also available as laminated safety glass

iplus 1.1T

The temperable insulation glass from AGC Interpane

With iplus 1.1T, AGC Interpane offers a coated low-E glass that can be tempered by glass processing companies. This offers logistic advantages: delivery times are shorter and there is no need to transport glass of pre-cut dimensions. Window manufacturers can therefore be supplied with tempered iplus more quickly.

Properties

  • Thermal transmittance (Ug value) 1.1 W/(m²K)
  • High light transparency (81%) and optically very neutral
  • High solar factor (64%) to utilize solar energy gains
  • Ecological product – the coating is "cradle to cradle" certified

Float glass product range

  • Thickness of the coated panes: 4, 6 and 8 mm (further thicknesses available on request)

iplus 1.0

The ideal solution for U-value optimized window solutions

iplus 1.0 is an insulating glass with improved thermal insulation properties. It makes possible the thermal optimization of two-pane insulation glass under extremely economic conditions.

Properties

  • Thermal transmittance (Ug value) 1.0 W/(m²K)
  • High light transparency (Tv = 76%)
  • Saves energy in both summer and winter
  • Ecological product – the coating is "cradle to cradle" certified
  • Aesthetically neutral with minimal light reflection

Float glass product range

  • Thickness of the coated panes: 4, 6 and 8 mm (further thicknesses available on request)
  • iplus 1.0 is also available as laminated safety glass

iplus 1.0T

The toughenable solution for U-value optimized window solutions

iplus 1.0T is the toughenable variant of iplus 1.0 - an insulating glass with improved thermal insulation properties. It makes possible the thermal optimization of two-pane insulation glass under extremely economic conditions.

Properties

  • Thermal transmittance (Ug value) 1.0 W/(m²K)
  • High light transparency (Tv = 80%)
  • Saves energy in both summer and winter
  • Ecological product – the coating is "cradle to cradle" certified
  • Aesthetically neutral with minimal light reflection

Float glass product range

  • Thickness of the coated panes: 4, 5 and 6 mm (further thicknesses available on request)

iplus 3LS

Top-class triple insulation glass

Taking into account the physical effects of triple-pane glass structures, INTERPANE has developed a special basic glass type for triple glazing with an optimized energy performance. Its coating has higher emission properties than those of the iplus basic glass. Therefore, iplus 3LS achieves a higher light transmittance and a higher total energy transmittance.

Despite these values, which have been optimized once again in terms of energy performance, a Ug-value of up to 0.6 W/(m²K) according to EN is achieved. To further optimize the already excellent energy performance of high-quality triple glazing, the use of thermally improved edge seal systems is advisable.

Energy-saving glass types with top heat insulation values of 0.5-0.8 W/(m²K), certified as a "component suitable for passive houses" by the Institute Dr. Feist, Darmstadt.

Super-insulating glass solutions with a high-quality inert gas filling.

Ug = 0.7 W/(m²K)
Tv = 74%
g = 63%

iplus 3 / iplus 3C

Triple thermal insulation glass

Triple thermal insulation glass – still unusual just a few years ago – is increasingly becoming the architectural standard. In Germany, the 3rd Thermal Insulation Regulation (Wärmeschutzverordnung, WSchVO) caused uncoated insulation glass to disappear almost completely from the market several years ago, and the Energy Saving Regulation (Energieeinsparverordnung, EnEV) 2009, with its tightened requirements, has caused the market share of triple insulation glass to rise continuously. AGC INTERPANE offers a range of attractive products specially aimed at meeting these requirements.

iplus 3 and iplus 3C have Ug-values down to 0.5 W/(m²K) according to EN and thus minimize heat losses. They are used in combination with the basic glass iplus.

iplus AF

Glazing that prevents the onset of condensation

Effective thermal insulation can cause condensation to build up on the outer pane. Condensation is formed overnight or at dawn when two specific conditions occur, namely low temperatures and a high ambient relative humidity level. Condensation obscures glass, making it difficult to see through.

AGC Interpane offers a special anti-condensation coating which delays the appearance of external condensation. Clear float glass is covered with a transparent pyrolytic coating. The low-emissivity "iplus AF" coating is applied to the outside of the glass (position 1). This coating keeps the external temperature of the glass higher and therefore delays the onset of condensation.

Benefits of the anti-condensation coating

  •     Good scratch resistance.
  •     Stable in terms of visual aesthetics.
  •     Easy to process.

Energy N / NT

Soft-coated low-E glass with enhanced solar protection

Assembled into double glazed units, "Energy N" offers great neutrality, high light transmission and low light reflection. It shows the same aesthetics as a classical IGU, combined with the comfort of double silver coating performances. The product is suitable for residential and commercial applications.

The Benefits:

  • low Ug value
  • low level of light reflection
  • neutral glazing

The alternative is "Energy NT": Toughenable soft-coated low-E glass with enhanced solar protection.

Consistent Cradle to Cradle certification

Our products are not only technically and aesthetically market-leading, but also ecologically: We have been certifying our glazing since 2010 according to Cradle to Cradle, a strict evaluation system for sustainability and recyclability. "C2C" evaluates the sustainability of products over their entire life cycle. To obtain certification products need to fulfil tough requirements in five categories: material health, material reutilization, renewable energy, water stewardship and social fairness.

The AGC Group has the world's most comprehensive portfolio of glass products that have been certified to the levels bronze, silver and gold. The European AGC Group is thereby the pioneer for sustainability in the glass industry.
